Certified High Definition Installation Specialist (CHDIS) certification is for individuals working in the following fields:
- Installers
- Sales Reps / Opperators
- Customer Service Rep
To obtain your CHDIS Certification you must pass a series of online tests. Each test well be comprised of 50 multiple choice questions.
Tests:
- Cables: Identification of cables, how to connect cables, what are the best cables to use
- Mounts: Identification of different types of mounts, how to install a mount
- HD Basics: Standard Terminology
Installers must pass all three test and retake test on a quarterly basis to maintain cerfication.
Sales Reps / Operators must pass test 1 and test 3
Customer Service Reps must pass test 3
Certified High Definition Installation Engineer (CHDIE) certifiaction is for individuals working in the following fields:
- Crew Leader Installers
- Electical Engineers starter there career in home theater installation
- Home Theater Designers

- Cables and Mounts: Identifications of mounts and cables how to use them
- Site Assessment: Layout / Placement and Customer Experience
- HD Advanced Integration: Surround Sound Setup, Multiroom installations and integration
- Project management: Six Sigma Basics
- People Management: Situational Management
Crew Leader Installers must pass all 5 tests
Electrical Engineers must pass all 5 test
Home Theater Designers must pass test 1-3
